Tip 430: Start Menu Icon
If you experience any of the following, use Office Diagnostics (or Detect and Repair) to fix your Outlook installation:
- The Outlook shortcut on the start menu does not use the Outlook program icon.
- The start menu shortcut opens an unrelated dialog or a folder.
- Templates (*.oft) won't open when you double click on them in Windows Explorer
- Outlook is not listed as an application for contact and calendar in IE's Internet Options, Programs dialog.
